Free 3D converter

Convert any 3D model, in your browser

Drop a GLB, OBJ, STL, FBX, PLY or 3MF and save it as GLB, STL, OBJ, 3MF, USDZ or PLY. Nothing is uploaded, and print formats come out in millimetres, flat on the build plate.

Free, no sign-up, and your file stays on your device.

Questions

Something else? Ask us and a person will answer.

Which 3D formats can it convert?

It reads GLB, glTF, OBJ (with its .mtl and textures), STL, PLY, FBX and 3MF, and writes GLB, STL, OBJ, 3MF, USDZ and PLY. FBX can be read but not written, because there is no open FBX writer.

Is it really free?

Yes, with no account, watermark or daily limit. It runs in your browser, so it costs us nothing per file.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Files are read and written on your device with the open-source three.js loaders and exporters.

Which format should I use for 3D printing?

3MF if your slicer reads it (Bambu Studio, PrusaSlicer, OrcaSlicer and Cura do), because it records millimetres. STL works everywhere. Both lose colour and textures.

Which format keeps textures?

GLB and USDZ keep materials and textures in one file. OBJ keeps the colour texture in a .zip with its .mtl. STL, 3MF (as written here) and PLY don't keep textures.

Can I make a 3D model to convert?

Yes. PhotoGenius makes textured GLB models from a photo or a text prompt with Rodin Gen-2.5, Rodin Gen-2.5 Fast, Tripo H3.1, TRELLIS.2, Rodin Gen-2 or Hunyuan3D 3.1. See the AI 3D model generator.
