What is Rodin Gen-2?

Rodin Gen-2 outputs clean quad-based meshes with PBR materials included, which makes models easier to edit, rig and light. It is the right pick when the asset is going into a production pipeline rather than a quick preview.

Does Rodin Gen-2 include PBR textures?

Yes, always: colour, normal and metal-roughness maps at 2048 by 2048 at the default settings.

How detailed are Rodin Gen-2 meshes?

At Detail Medium, about 30,000 to 40,000 triangles in a quad-based layout. Detail Low gave 17,719 on a test object, under Roblox's 20,000-triangle limit.

Can I use Rodin Gen-2 without a Hyper3D subscription?

Yes. It runs on your PhotoGenius credits at a fixed price per model, next to Hunyuan3D 3.1 and the image and video models.

Rodin Gen-2, Gen-2.5 or Hunyuan3D 3.1?

Rodin Gen-2.5 gives the crispest hard surfaces; Rodin Gen-2 is about a minute faster with richer-looking textures; Hunyuan3D 3.1 follows the image most precisely, with denser meshes.

How much does Rodin Gen-2 cost on PhotoGenius?

Rodin Gen-2 costs from 16 credits (from an image) to 17 credits (from text (includes the concept image)) per model. Plans start at $10 a month for 100 credits ($8 a month billed yearly), and the exact cost of every generation shows on the Generate button before you run it. Failed generations are refunded automatically.

Can I try Rodin Gen-2 for free?

Generating with Rodin Gen-2 uses credits from a plan. To try PhotoGenius without paying, the free image generator makes 5 images with FLUX.2 Klein and needs no account.

Can I use Rodin Gen-2 results commercially?

Commercial use is included on the Pro and Business plans. See the Terms of Service for the details of the license.
