Rodin Gen-2.5 questions
What is Rodin Gen-2.5?
Rodin Gen-2.5 is Hyper3D's newest generation of Rodin. In our side-by-side tests on the same image it produced cleaner edges and straighter hard surfaces than Gen-2, with quad meshes and PBR materials included. PhotoGenius runs its High tier at the same price as Gen-2.
How is Gen-2.5 different from Rodin Gen-2?
Gen-2.5 is Hyper3D's newer generation. On the same input it gave us crisper geometry, especially on hard surfaces; Gen-2 is about a minute faster and its textures can look busier. Both make quad meshes with PBR materials at the same price.
Can I use Rodin Gen-2.5 without a Hyper3D subscription?
Yes. It runs on your PhotoGenius credits at a fixed price per model, next to Rodin Gen-2, Hunyuan3D 3.1 and the image and video models.
What file format do I get?
A GLB with colour, normal and metal-roughness maps. Convert it free to STL, 3MF, OBJ, USDZ, PLY or glTF with the 3D converter.
How detailed are the meshes?
About 38,000 to 40,000 triangles at Detail Medium in our tests, and 19,215 at Detail Low on the same object, under Roblox's 20,000 limit. High asks for the most geometry.
How much does Rodin Gen-2.5 cost on PhotoGenius?
Rodin Gen-2.5 costs from 16 credits (from an image) to 17 credits (from text (includes the concept image)) per model. Plans start at $10 a month for 100 credits ($8 a month billed yearly), and the exact cost of every generation shows on the Generate button before you run it. Failed generations are refunded automatically.
Can I try Rodin Gen-2.5 for free?
Generating with Rodin Gen-2.5 uses credits from a plan. To try PhotoGenius without paying, the free image generator makes 5 images with FLUX.2 Klein and needs no account.
Can I use Rodin Gen-2.5 results commercially?
Commercial use is included on the Pro and Business plans. See the Terms of Service for the details of the license.
